THE ERASMUS+ ECOBLUE TOURISM PROJECT HOLDS ITS SECOND TRANSNATIONAL MEETING ONLINE

THE ERASMUS+ ECOBLUE TOURISM PROJECT HOLDS ITS SECOND TRANSNATIONAL MEETING ONLINE

The second transnational meeting of the European Ecoblue Tourism project on blue ecotourism entrepreneurship was held on October 20 in a mixed format. The consortium meeting has hosted some of the project partners at the headquarters of the partner Future Focus (Malta), while part of the consortium has attended telematically.

The Erasmus+ project, coordinated by FUE-UJI, reaches the halfway point of its implementation with the second transnational meeting between partners in which the progress in the development of training material in blue ecotourism entrepreneurship has been presented. This material will be implemented in the realization of a 53h training course with a total of 8 modules, developed by FUE-UJI. In addition, the training has been adapted to the current situation worldwide, also including the training module Activating the Tourism sector in times of COVID-19 and Security.

The meeting also included the presentation of the interface of the mobile application in which the training material will be hosted. Through this mobile application, long-term unemployed young people will be able to train in ecological activities that respect marine ecosystems.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all the partner organizations, either in person or online. Therefore, this project financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program has a consortium of 7 partners: The University of Patras (Greece), Dorea Educational Institute WTF (Cyprus), Training 2000 psc (Italy), the Kemer Public Education Centre (Turkey), the Future Focus Ltd Higher Education Centre (Malta), the Association of Galician Entrepreneurs in Aragon and Riberas del Ebro, AEGARE, (Spain) and the European and
International Projects Office of the FUE-UJI, EuroFUE-UJI (Spain), coordinator of the project.

In the next few months, both the training material and the mobile application will be ready for use and the training course will begin. The next transnational meeting is scheduled for next year 2021, with the University of Patras (Greece) as hosts of the meeting.

EuroFUE-UJI participates in the European Erasmus Days with the CIA and Ecoblue Tourism Projects

The European and International Projects Office of FUE-UJI will organise two online events to celebrate the European Erasmus Days on 15, 16 and 17 October. The Erasmus Days, a European initiative, consists of three days of celebrating the Erasmus + programme in Europe and beyond. It is an opportunity to organize an event, share your Erasmus experience or spread the word about your project. EuroFUE-UJI has organised two online events for this purpose, in which it will inform about the Ecoblue Tourism and CIA Projects, two projects that it coordinates.

These online events will take place next Friday 16th October through a live video on the Facebook profile of both the CIA project and Ecoblue Tourism project. These events will be open to all interested online users. The Discover more about Local Intergenerational Civic Councils event will be held at 11am, while the Discover more about Ecoblue Tourism event is scheduled to take place at 12pm, Central European Time.

Both events will introduce a brief presentation of each project, its website and its objectives, followed by a game through the Facebook live videos allowing the participants to learn more about the projects by playing and answering questions about them in a dynamic and fun way. These events organised by EuroFUE-UJI are available on the official website of the European Erasmus Days 2020, as well as all the initiatives scheduled for this year’s online edition.
