The UJI presents the new program Horizon Europe 2021-2027 by the national experts

On Friday 18th of October, the University Jaume I (UJI) will host a conference to present the next European Research and Innovation Framework Program: Horizon Europe. This new program is the successor of the H2020 and will be developed from next year 2021 until 2027.

It is one of the European funding programs with the highest budget and, therefore requires great preparation. That is the reason why the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer of the UJI has decided to schedule a conference that will advance the work lines of the European framework program in research and innovation for the next few years.

The Horizon Europe conference will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Higher School of Technology and Experimental Sciences next Friday, 18th of October from 9am to 1pm. It will be attended by Elisa Álvarez-Bolado, Head of the Framework Program Area Division of Programs of the European Union at the Centre for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI), who will present the challenges and thematic areas of the new program, as well as its new characteristics.

Likewise, Carlos Martínez Riera, Research and Innovation Advisor in the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union (REPER), will focus his intervention on the forecast to launch the first calls, the structure of the topics of this new program and the criteria for the evaluation and selection of proposals.

Futhermore, success projects from previous calls will be presented, as examples of good practices in view of the preparation for Horizon Europe 2021-2027. Therefore, Enrique Sánchez, Director of the Agustín Escardino Ceramic Technology University Institute, Elena Zuriaga, Technical R&D Manager of FACSA and Mireia Ballester, Project Manager of BECSA, will present their projects.

The Office of European and International Projects of the UJI, together with the EuroFUE-UJI are responsible for coordinating this conference, whose objective is to raise awareness of the new European framework program as widely as possible and to offer researchers, companies and institutions all the tools for the preparation of project proposals with the greatest guarantees of success.
